Best New Tools 2008 for Our Crosscut Carcase Saw - Thank You Popular Woodworking! 4I just want to thank Popular Woodworking for awarding us "Best New Tools 2008" award for the new Gramercy Carcase Saw (Crosscut). You can read the entire review that got us the award here.

We are really proud of our saw line and really think that taking the time to hand file a saw makes a real difference. Pop wood said it cut the smoothest of any of the carcase saws they tested. Separate from the award we also think it's a pretty and classically looking saw. I personally think that's important too. You can do great work even with the most ugly of tools, but I like to think that pretty tools encourage pretty work.

PS - this saw like the Gramercy Tools Dovetail Saw (winner 2007).

Joel, You and your team are justifiably proud of your saws. I've had and used the
DT saw for about a year, and it remains a favorite for difficult woods. I just
received my carcase saw on Friday and was able to play with it for a few minutes
over the weekend. It's a sweet saw- it cuts very smoothly and faster than I
thought it would. The carved details in the handle are a nice personal touch.
Very subtle, elegant and understated.

Congrats to everyone involved in the making of these fine tools.
